President to Outline His Vision

"I want to set a goal to inspire all of mankind. A goal of exploration, hope and destiny. Before this decade is over – let us not send men to the moon and bring them back safely" - if Obama had been Kennedy

Candidate Obama said offshore drilling for oil was not needed, would not impact foreign oil dependence, and would not be in the interest of the ecological health of the planet. President Obama’s recently announced 'vision' is to achieve energy independence that includes the largest expansion of off-shore gas and oil drilling and nuclear power the world has ever seen.

I now know what it is that bothers me so much about this president. He's bright, intelligent, articulate, politically savvy and completely and utterly uninspired. It contrasts so stunningly with his campaign and with the awakening of hope he instilled in billions. And it contrasts so starkly with the times. If ever - ever - there was a time for greatness, vision, and inspiration it is now.
