Night Mist

Close your eyes child for it is time for sleep
Feel the cool night air on your cheeks
warm and happy under your blankets

Close your eyes now my sweet daughter
For when you sleep something magical will begin
As you sleep a beautiful light will surround you and
lift you ever so gently far, far into the star filled sky above
and you will fly

You will fly high over cities’ twinkling lights

over forest’s and fields Over oceans to warm moonlit seas
shimmering and alive below you

Fly and fly until at last you come to a beautiful tropical island
mysterious, magical, special

Look down on palm trees whispering so gently in the warm breezes
salt air mixed in the sounds of the surf on the rocks below
